Hitoshi Torii
General Manager
Since 2019, he has overseen MCRA’s overall back-office operations, including finance and human resources. In April 2026, he was appointed as General Manager, serving as an executive officer responsible for regulatory affairs. Before MCRA Japan, he worked for multi-national pharmaceuticals company, research device company and biotech startups in finance, business development, and management roles total 20 years. During this period, he has accumulated experiences in pharmaceuticals and regenerative medicine products and devices R&D and commercialization. Before moving to finance and business discipline, he spent 11 years of career as research scientist in plant and agrochemical industry. He retains both an MBA degree and USCPA certification.
