Miranda is a seasoned recruitment professional with a solid track record spanning over 7 years, excelling in full-cycle recruitment across the life sciences product development lifecycle. Miranda possesses direct experience in the consulting, CRO, and staffing sectors, with a particular focus on workforce solutions for clinical research. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to identify, attract, and secure top-tier talent within the Pharmaceutical, Med-Tech & Biotech industries.

Miranda's expertise encompasses a wide range of roles including Clinical Operations (from entry level to Executive Leadership), Biostatisticians, Statistical Programmers, Regulatory Affairs experts, Business Development professionals, as well as high-level management positions and early career talent alike.

Education

Miranda Gillis received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.

Experience

Miranda started her career at Aerotek, a large staffing agency, as a Clinical Research Recruiter. In 2019, Miranda was recognized as the “MVP” at a corporate recruiter event for top performers held at their headquarters. Miranda developed strong relationships with life sciences execs and naturally transitioned into a Clinical Research Business Development role focused on developing staffing business in the clinical research sector. In this role, Miranda partnered with hiring managers at sponsors, sites, and CROs to create business partnerships and identify top talent for critical clinical research positions.

Miranda later joined ICON, one of the world’s largest CROs, as a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, where she successfully hired over 100 employees within her first year. In 2020, she received the "On the Spot Award" at ICON for her exceptional performance. This recognition was attributed to her innovative use of LinkedIn Recruiter, enabling her to recruit over 87 employees in just three months for a significant sponsor-driven ‘Operation Warp Speed’ COVID-19 project.

At MCRA, Miranda leads full cycle recruiting efforts across all business lines and therapeutic areas, with a particular focus in MCRA’s CRO hiring and staffing activities, in addition to leading numerous talent access programs.

Overview

Miranda holds the role of Senior Associate of Talent Acquisition, where she specializes in full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, providing feedback, and assisting candidates through offer negotiations and acceptance. Moreover, she takes charge as the Program Lead for MCRA’s Summer Internship Program. Her responsibilities include active participation in career fairs, overseeing recruitment efforts, and supervising the comprehensive management of the 8-week program. Additionally, Miranda closely collaborates with the Business Development team for MCRA’s talent solutions external client service, provides expert talent access insight, and develops and executes client staffing projects spanning from contract to direct placement hire across all MedTech specialties.
