At MCRA, Dr. Stevens develops and executes systematic strategies that integrate health economics, outcomes research and market access solutions across all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure a competitive advantage and commercial success for client products. Dr. Stevens gathers critical voice of customer data from relevant stakeholders to shape evidence development and ensure meaningful economic endpoints are included in study protocols for client clinical studies. She works closely with multiple cross-functional partners within MCRA to lead the planning and execution of health economics and outcomes studies and drives the development of medical communication tools such as value dossiers, value briefs and economic models.
Dr. Stevens received her Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. She is a licensed pharmacist and holds a Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty.
Most recently, Dr. Stevens was responsible for developing HEOR strategy and implementing market access tactics that demonstrate clinical and economic product value for the Critical Care division at Edwards Lifesciences. She drove the development of global real-world evidence generation and reimbursement strategies to enhance market access through publications, economic models, value dossiers, case studies and other educational materials. Dr. Stevens also collaborated with the American Heart Association in support of the Target Aortic Stenosis initiative.
Before Edwards, Dr. Stevens served as a field-based liaison supporting Managed Markets, Medical Affairs and Health Economics & Outcomes Research for various pharmaceutical companies. She executed the HEOR value proposition through formulary presentations of scientific data and economic models to key stakeholders at national and regional Managed Care Organizations, IDNs, ACOs, LTC, GPOs, PBMs and Home Health Care with successful outcomes, such as formulary inclusion, therapeutic interchanges and implementation of health care quality initiatives to support product value proposition.
Dr. Stevens is an accomplished and innovative leader with experience in pharmaceutical and medical device industries focusing on HEOR, market access and reimbursement. Her interests include HEOR strategy development, real-world evidence generation, product differentiation, health economic modeling and medical communications.
