Background

Mr. Fennell is a senior healthcare operations leader with substantial experience driving organizational change in customer facing functions including: Provider and Member Contact Centers, Claims Administrations, Premium Billing, Enrollment, Vendor Management, and support functions such as Quality Assurance, Training, and Process Improvement Functions.

Education

Mr. Fennell received his Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from Siena College, Loudonville, NY.

Experience

Prior to joining MCRA in April of 2019, Mr. Fennell served as VP of Health Plan Operations for Connecticare, and held a similar role with Highmark Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania for 10 years leading all aspects of health plan operations.

At Anthem Blue Cross, he was accountable for a multi-site nationwide member care center organization, and in that role led the implementation strategy for Obamacare to ensure operational readiness. This enterprise-wide start-up entailed the hiring and redeployment of 1,600 reps across 7 sites to handle the volumes from the anticipated membership growth in Anthem's 14 state footprint.

Overview

Mr. Fennell is the leader of MCRA's Reimbursement Management Center which includes a coverage access contact center and email counsel to a wide variety of relevant inquiries from Physicians, Hospitals, Insurance Carriers, and Medical Device clients.
