MS. CHATTOPADHYAY MANAGES AND DIRECTS THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AFFAIRS FOR MCRA AND ITS CLIENTS. Ms. Chattopadhyay assists clients to develop and execute strategies for protecting and clearing their products for market. She performs comprehensive patentability and invalidity searches, clearance analyses and competitive patent landscape searches to identify risks and opportunities for value creation. Ms. Chattopadhyay helps clients navigate complex patent landscapes and optimize their patent portfolios. Additionally, she performs due diligence reviews by assessing the current health and potential value of a prospective product or technology's intellectual property.

Ms. Chattopadhyay has nine years of patent related experience and extensive knowledge of patent law, practice and procedure. Prior to joining MCRA in 2006, she was a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in the prosthetics art. She examined patent applications directed to orthopedics, including large and small bone and joint implants, spinal technologies, cardiovascular and intraocular implants, and surgical methods. She is a registered Patent Agent authorized to practice before the USPTO.

Ms. Chattopadhyay received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a Materials concentration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
