ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF REIMBURSEMENT DEPARTMENT

New York, NY: May 1, 2007: Musculoskeletal Clinical Regulatory Advisers, LLC (MCRA), an independent orthopedic consulting firm focusing on regulatory, clinical, intellectual property and reimbursement strategy execution, is pleased to announce the official launch of its reimbursement division. The hiring of Charles Schneider (Vice President, Reimbursement) and Amanda Briscoe (Vice President, Global Market Development) has completed MCRA’s integration of the four key technology value creators for a successful product launch.

Mr. Schneider brings to MCRA more than 18 years of experience, having worked with hundreds of accounts ranging from hospitals to physicians to health systems to medical device companies. Mr. Schneider said, “In the increasingly demanding environment of orthopedic reimbursement, pricing pressures are felt by all participants: industry, care providers, payors, employers and patients. These pressures require sophisticated and coordinated efforts to effectively optimize current and future technology reimbursement.”

Ms. Briscoe brings to MCRA more than 12 years of executive experience, to include the management of reimbursement strategy in compliance with federal, state and third party regulations for various companies. Ms. Briscoe noted, "MCRA can now provide the orthopedic industry customized reimbursement leadership within an ever changing and evolving global healthcare arena. I joined MCRA to address the industry need. Appropriate reimbursement in the orthopedic industry necessitates commitment equal to that of product development, distribution and operations within a company. I look forward to joining the team at MCRA to assist various companies’ present and future endeavors."

The reimbursement division will be headquartered, along with the clinical, regulatory, and intellectual property divisions, in MCRA’s newly opened Washington, DC office. Given that many companies are at different phases in their technology evolution, MCRA’s reimbursement team is positioned to assist their outcomes anywhere between the product continuum: from concept phase to post commercial launch.
