JUSTIN P. EGGLETON AS DIRECTOR, SPINE REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Reviewer in Orthopedics Devices Branch of FDA moves to direct regulatory
process for emerging spinal technologies. Musculoskeletal Clinical
Regulatory Advisers, LLC (MCRA) announced that Justin P. Eggleton,
has joined as Director, Spine Regulatory Affairs. MCRA is a highly
specialized, independently operated consulting firm serving the worldwide
orthopedic industry.
Mr. Eggleton joins the firm from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), where he was a lead reviewer in the Orthopedics Devices Branch
for the Office of Device Evaluation.
Mr. Eggleton has an extensive knowledge of medical device regulations
and regulatory pathways that drive orthopedic devices from conception
to market acceptance. At the FDA, he led reviews of pre-market submissions
in support of orthopedic Class II and Class III medical devices,
including multiple leading Investigational Device Exemptions (IDE)
and Premarket Applications (PMA).
Mr. Eggleton said, “I am excited to have joined an organization

Mr. Eggleton led FDA reviews of several unique spinal implant technologies
and received numerous performance awards. He received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University,
where he focused on biomaterials and tissue engineering and assisted
in the development of novel nucleus replacement technologies.
