Aviva Barber
Director, Clinical Affairs

Ms. Barber has been with MCRA since March 2005 and is responsible for the clinical affairs functions of MCRA. In her role, Ms. Barber manages clinical studies, writes clinical protocols and ghostwrites peer-reviewed technical papers for publication.

Prior to MCRA, Ms. Barber was a Clinical Development Manager for Radiancy, Inc. where she was responsible for managing and implementing clinical studies for the purpose of obtaining 510(k)’s for marketing clearance. Additionally, Ms. Barber managed a 70-site, 300-patient clinical study. Ms. Barber also wrote more than 4 abstracts and articles submitted for publication in national conferences and biomedical/medical journals. From 1998-2001, Ms. Barber worked as an intern in the orthopedic department of the Elias Sourasky Medical Center in Israel where she developed her clinical research skills. Later, as a full-time employee, Ms. Barber was focused on promoting and advancing research in the department. Ms. Barber’s research experience included 4 diagnostic studies.

Ms. Barber received a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering in 1993,and a Master of Science degree from Tel-Aviv University in Biomedical Engineering in 2000.
